I have a brick paver walkway. It is about 3 years old, never been sealed. From what I have read, solvent type sealers seem to be better than water based. I am concerned though about the level of gloss. I sort of like “the dry look” which has no gloss whatsoever. Is there a solvent based sealer that will give me that “dry look”?

pavers are a little over one year old, never sealed before. Forgot to ask, will the deck still be cool on the feet or will the sealer grab more heat from the sun? and thanks

I have a pool with paver deck. I would like to get a sealer that will give it the wet look, but not be slippery for my grandchildren. What would you recommend? I have asked 2 paver sealer companies and they both contradict each other. 1 says clean first with power wash, other says no power wash, it will loosen the pavers, only clorox? Also concerned with the application especially on the bullnose, without getting any sealer in the water, 1 says they brush it on, other says they spray and dont worry about the pool?
Can you help?

I have Belgard Mega Latif pavers that were installed last year. The pavers are fairly stain and dirt free. What cleaner would work for a general cleaning prior to sealing?

I have a new paver walkway. Is it better to seal it with a solvent or water-based sealer? What are the pros and cons of each type.

The fire pit is also Tremeron “fire pit kit”, just a darker shade then the pavers.

I live in Florida, I have a new patio with tumbled Tremeron that is 4 weeks old. I am not sure of the difference of your 2 products. I do not want a shiny look. Also, can the outer part of my fire pit be sprayed with the sealer too?

I had thin pavers installed on patio around pool ( faces South and Southwest ) just past November. I had them make sure the old patio was pressure cleaned before they began their work, although I was told that it wouldn’t be necessary. I informed the installer that I wanted to be sure there would be no mold coming up from a dirty, old concrete patio underneath new pavers, and he said the cement mixture had a mold fighter that killed anything, and nothing would grow. Once finished, they never sealed the patio. Now there is a lot of green and black mold growing, both on the edges of the pavers and in the sand between the pavers.
What type of cleaning measures should be done, what type of sealant would be best?

My dilemna is the fact that many sealer applicators do not take the time to research or test the type of sealer used previously and end up adding additional coat(s),only to haze the look of the sealer. How do you suggest that we advise the general public that you cannot mix a solvent-based paver sealer with a water-based paver sealer? I know there are several inividuals that provide a sealing service (as a side business) only to make a quick dollar but homeowners that hire these individuals only provide a disservice to the industry. To strip a bad sealing job costs the homeowner usually twice the cost of the original application!!
Thank you.

I’m thinking on sealing my pavers driveway. Our cars roll up the driveway 6 times a day. Will SB-1300 work well in this application? What about SB-7000?

Thanks for the reply.Would a latex based stripper do the job? Have you ever used a steam power washer to remove a water based sealer?

A new company power washed, added polymeric joint sand and sealed my brick driveway with a water based sealer.some areas of haze were left behind after the sand administration due to excess sand being left behind. These areas were removed with diluted vinegar scrubbing. The whole driveway was also scrubbed down with the vinegar solution. After a day of brick drying, a water based sealer was applied.Using a new power sprayer for the first time.they unfortunately sprayed on too much sealer in certain areas leaving scattered milky discolorations which became evident after a rainfall and after a second finer sealer coat had been applied .Since this happened a day ago would power washing the remove the discoloration by itself or would a stripper be also required? Not sure that xylene would be effective. The driveway had never been sealed before,This has also involved my backyard patio. The driveway bricks are 12 years old and the patio bricks are 8 years old.Any advice would be appreciated.

We had our pavers installed 2 yrs ago. the paver owner said wait a year or 2 before you get them sealed to see how you like the natural look. So we just had the pavers sealed with 4 coats of high gloss quikcrete, by the same guy. It is not shiny or nothing, I hate it. Is there a better product that give give me the wet look that I want?

My pavers are constantly getting weeds and grass in the sand between them. I am tired of pressure washing all the time. Any suggestions on a sealer that will prevent the weeds?
