Super Seal 25 is not suggested for Clay Pavers.
If my stamped concrete has some white on it can I just power wash and then use the s25?
You probably cannot just pressure wash it off. Post pics for help with how to remove.
I have new travertine in South Florida. What are the pros & cons between Superseal25 & Supreme Shield SB600?
Both give a wet/enhanced look. The SS25 will also give a semi-gloss shine while the SB-600 will not.
Hello. Have few serious questions. I had sealed my pavers with water based sealant “Super Wet Look Seal n Lock” about 3 years ago but they are now completely dry and faded. Now I got Super Seal 25 to re-seal them. I am totally confused whether it will work or not. Moreover I have already spread “All Purpose Sand” to fill the gaps after pressure washing it. Would it seal the sand also if I spray it with Chapin. Should I have used Polymeric Sand?
It should be fine to use the SS25 as long as the old sealer has not turned white or discolored. It will help harden sand if you soak the sand well when applying.
I applied the sealer one year ago (pavers, don’t know what material) and now the seal is dull in most areas and only shiny in shaded areas. It is spotty and no longer looks good. Do you recommend to strip off the old sealer and then reapply or just reapply? If you recommend stripping off, do you sell a product that removes the sealer?
Just reapply.
How will this product hold up in Arizona?
Redo every 2 years is normal in AZ.
Can I use mineral spirts or bubblegum liquid release agent to clean out my Chapin 1949 sprayer after using SuperSeal 25 on my pavers?
No. Xylene or Lacquer Thinner.
How do i get rid of the residue Xylene in the tank, hose, etc. since it can negatively affect the seals and lining of the tank.
Pour any leftover Xylene into the Xylene container. You would always run water through the lines after as well.
I put down Superseal 25 one year ago and I want to recoat this year even though it can go two. I intend to use the Chapin sprayer. For a recoat after 1 year does it take as much sealer as the initial coating?
A little less than last year.
Can I use this pump sprayer for the super seal ? What happeneds if I do use,
It will not work with a plastic sprayer. It is too thick.
Can I use a Chapin International 22090XP Poly Heavy-Duty Sprayer for SuperSeal 25?
No.
Can this be used to travertine pavers?
Yes.
Ok here we are now 1 year later and the shine is gone. I applied this product heavy and it had looked amazing. Now the Wet look is gone. What do I do now?
The shine can dull from the UV and general dirt. Good news is the sealer is still fully there and can restore the shine by adding a light solvent to all. https://www.brickpaversealer.com/aromatic-100-solvent
OK here we are now in January, 2021, I never did get the solvent. Do I need to redo the super sealer now? Or will the solvent still work?
Yes, reseal now.
The Super Seal 25 will work for you. Make sure that you remove the old coatings if they have turned white in color.
I get serious sun here. I have patio pavers and have used big box store wet-look that have limited life. Recommendation?
The Super seal 25 will enhance the color of the stamped concrete similar as to if wet with water. Only issue would be if you have an old sealer that has discolored by turning white. If you do, than you will need to strip off the old sealer first.
would the super seal 25 bring back the color of the stamped concrete. or which one you recommend. Do you have color to ad to the sealer.
No it is not designed for Natural Stone.
Hi! Will this work for Flagstone as well?
Tom, one coat will cover 500 sq. feet per 5 gallon pail or 100 sq. feet per gallon of sealer. Most roll it on.
Can you tell me how many sq ft will a 5 gallon cover assuming a heavy coating.
Do you recommend a sprayer or roller or both?
Joseph,
Look at the SuperSeal Matter
what would be the best sealer to use to enrich the color and obtain a matte finish on brick pavers.
KD, as long as the Euclid Diamond Clear has not failed or discolored than it should be okay.
Can SuperSeal 25 be applied over old coatings (Euclid products for example)? If I do not strip down to bare concrete will SuperSeal 25 be as effective?
Yes clean first, let dry for a day or two. Any roller will work but we like the “yellow sponger” type rollers. 50-90 for temp.
Power wash patio and walkway first?
What type of roller do I use for the application?
Ideal temp to seal?
Thank you!
The Super Seal 25 will work great!
I have a brick sidewalk. What should I use to keep it looking good?
This is a styrene acrylic. This means is has little tiny pinholes that allows it to breathe as long as it has not been previously coated with a different product.
Is this product breathable to let water vapor escape up and thru. This application would be in Southern Florida
Prep by removing dirt, oil and grime should be enough.
I put down a sealer in my garage 5 years ago and want to use this super sealer on the same floor. Do I have to prep the floor? if so what do you recommend?
